Servings: 6 Servings
- 6 medium potatoes peeled and chopped
- 16 ounces super sweet white corn frozen
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup onion finely chopped
- 1 tsp garlic minced
- 1.5 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp sage
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1/2 tsp chive dried
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 package uncured bacon ( I used Dartagnan) crispy
Place all ingredients into the slow cooker, except the cream and the bacon, and stir until mixed well.
Cover and cook chowder on low for approximately 6 hours or until the potatoes are fork tender.
While the chowder cooks, fry the bacon until crispy and pat with papertowel to remove excess grease. Chop and set aside.
Add the cream to the corn chowder and continue to cook for about 30 more minutes.
Serve topped with bacon.
