Easy Apple Crisp

This easy apple crisp recipe is super simple and so good. One large Granny Smith apple is all it takes to make a nice size dessert for 2 people-or one very hungry person!

Ingredients

Apples

  • 1 apple Granny Smith
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Crumble Topping

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp whole wheat flour
  • 1.5 tbsp oats (I used Bobs Red Mill Rolled Oats)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  • Peel and chop the apple. Mix brown sugar, flour, cinnamon together, then add the lemon juice. Add the chopped apples and mix until coated. Put the apples in a ramekin or oven safe small dish. Set aside.
  • In separate bowl mix the sugar, flour, cinnamon and oats until blended. Add the butter, combine using two forks or a pastry blender. Top the apples with the mixture. Place in the oven for approximately 30 minutes or until apples are tender.
