Easy Apple Crisp

Easy Apple Crisp

This  easy apple crisp recipe is super simple and so good.  One large Granny Smith apple is all it takes to make a nice size dessert for two people – or one very hungry person!  Starting by mixing the dry ingredients is really helpful in making sure all the tasty flavors are shared by all the apple.  I have easy apple crisp on my YouTube Channel, Cooking with Consult Colleen, if you would me to show you how simple it is to make.  Don’t forget to subscribe while you are there so you don’t miss any of my recipes or my spice updates.

  • 1 apple Granny Smith
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Crumble Topping

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp whole wheat flour
  • 1.5 tbsp oats (I used Bobs Red Mill Rolled Oats)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp butter

  • Peel and chop the apple. Mix brown sugar, flour, cinnamon together, then add the lemon juice. Add the chopped apples and mix until coated. Put the apples in a ramekin or oven safe small dish. Set aside.
  • In separate bowl mix the sugar, flour, cinnamon and oats until blended. Add the butter, combine using two forks or a pastry blender. Top the apples with the mixture. Place in the oven for approximately 30 minutes or until apples are tender.
